Search Engine Optimization Tips[Search Engine Optimization Tips] Increase web site traffic tips Part1: 'How to increase web site traffic to my blog using back-door methods has been a major focus, with positive results way beyond my expectations .and all this due to the mighty Google's aging website filter or sandbox theory as it is more commonly referenced .NB. The Sandbox filter effectively imposes a probationary period on newer websites, ranging between 2 - 6 months prior to awarding Page Rank.

Scott Stewart[Scott Stewart] Layers and Tiers and Bears, oh my - Part1: I included this discussion as a means of demonstrating how good Layering and Tier planning can make the decision to introduce Tiers an optional one. We should always attempt to follow Martin Fowler’s first law of distributed design; and therefore only decide upon distributing Tiers, after we have applied good sound tradeoff reasons and justifications. Good Layering and Tier strategies can be the ammunition we developers use to combat, or at least work with the “totem pole of decision-making responsibility”. So, the next time the totem pole speaks and says, “we have a highly performant n-Tier application”, you can kindly remind them that better then that, it’s a highly performant n-Layered application, with multiple n -Tier options.

Sifry's Alerts: State of The Blogosphere, March 2005, Part 1 ...: I'd like to reflect a little on some of these comments in that Technorati's tracking of the blogosphere is excellent, yet none the less I feel that it is imprudent for you to refer to Technorati tracking as being representative of the entire "blogosphere", which you do in this post, when simply it is not. As one of the commenters mention, you track mainly English speaking blogs, or more accurately blogs who use the Roman Alphabet. Talking about the number of blogs in the "blogosphere" doubling etc when only reflecting Technorati stats ignores the fact that non-English speaking markets using non-roman text are arguably larger markets that the roman-alphabet market, but "us and them" if you like, collectively, make the blogoshpere.

How To Blog For Fun & Profit! :: Blog Promotion with Technorati ...: Tags allow bloggers to increase the value of individual posts within a blog by driving greater value into a topic at at large. An example could be if I write a post about "rc cars" on my remote controlled toys blog and I tag that post specifically with "rc cars". Lachy’s Log » Blog Archive » Link Relationships Revisited, Part 1: Having received some feedback from many sources regarding the value of all these relationships, the fact that Tantek had implemented an alpha system for Vote Links in Technorati and now that Google, MSN Search and Yahoo have implemented rel="nofollow"; I intend to revisit the idea and explain exactly why I don’t think Technorati’s vote-for, vote-against and vote-abstain; and Google’s nofollow relationships are suitable. Following this, in part 2, I will discuss the major modifications to my original ideas that will both simplify and reduce the number of relationships, yet provide increased semantics in a way that implements the desired functionality of vote links (including nofollow) with many more advantages that are applicable to a wider variety of user agents.
