MelbourneIT are into search engine optimisation?

http://www.stillhq.com [stillhq.com - MelbourneIT are into search engine optimisation?, and other posts] To me that's just bizarre, MelbourneIT used to have their stuff together, and they just seem to be desperate for cash, any old kind of cash now. I feel dirty for having dealt with them, and will almost certainly move away from them when renewal comes.

Some slightly related from Technorati and Google.

[Log.does-not-exist.org] No Such Weblog: September 2003 Archives: Bruce Tonkin has posted notes from the WHOIS discussion that was held in Marina del Rey a week ago. The registrars' priorities according to these notes seem to be (in this order) restricting data mining, changing the amount of data that must be displayed to the general public, and further addressing accuracy issues raised by the IP and law enforcement communities.

Gonze.com[Gonze.com] The weblog of Lucas Gonze -- archives: Yahoo Media Engine can do WMV videos, Fabricio Zuardi's player can do MP3, my XSLT to convert XSPF to Real-flavored SMIL can do RealVideo, but that doesn't help with Quicktime. What we need is help from an enterprising hacker with both SMIL and Quicktime skills who can create SMIL capable of rendering a playlist that Quicktime can handle, then modify my half-assed xspf2smil XSLT or slightly more-assed xspf2html XSLT to emit that SMIL.

Usabilitymustdie.comhttp://www.usabilitymustdie.com [Usabilitymustdie.com] JOS Statistics - Recent Comments: My theory: geeks with very little ability at abstract thought are very valuable once theyve memorized all the information in the secret-decoder-ring. If a Unix shell were easy to use, like OS/400s, then their super-geek powers would be rendered useless, and theyd have to compete solely on their ability to solve problems elegantly and effectively.
