[Metamends Search Engine Optimization Blog] That said, why would Orkut have taken off that well in Brazil, and yet no where else? As it’s an invitation only network, I’ve never really looked into it, perhaps a reader can tell me why Orkut is that much more addictive than other excellent social networking sites like Insider Pages, (which if it ever entered the Brazilian market would undoubtably do well), Tribe, Judy’s Book, or Craigslist?

WHAT FRESH HELL IS THIS? (JD Rhoades' Blog): the staff at the Holiday Inn University Plaza in Bowling Green, who could not have been nicer or more accommodating (except for the surly bartender, and even she mellowed out after a while); and of course, all the wonderful folks who came out to browse, to chat, and to buy books. Easy Bake Coven // Does This Blog Make My Ass Look Big?: "Since this article deals with a lesser-known snitch, John Halpern, who has also been a psychedelic researcher largely supported by the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies, and who still frequents underground events (he will be part of a team at the 2006 BOOM Festival's crisis tent), I feel that it is important for the psychonautical community to have the opportunity to read about Halpern's past choice to repeatedly provide testimony to the DEA related to the arrest and trial of Leonard Pickard and Clyde Apperson, who were ultimately both convicted of LSD manufacture." [Searchenginejournal.com] Search Engine Journal » Why Brazil Loves Orkut!: I think it is very good that you started researching the Orkut phenomenon in Brazil, I even think that if you dig up a little bit more, you may have a study in your hands which may be worth quite a few bucks and help foreign companies such as Google to understand what our needs are. Who knows, but you might even be on the way to write the book to topple Freakonomics.

[Searchviews.com] SearchViews: Friendster execs say the messages were aimed at those who never recieved the invite due to technical difficulties as well as folks not aware of the site's new services such as blogs and video. Stefanie Olsen's story on CNET paints a different picture, that of a company desperate for a share of ad dollars that are going to competitors such as MySpace: "Friendster, started in 2002, was one of the earliest online social networks, drawing people to build a profile, invite friends and meet friends of friends along the way.
