SEO Analysis of Google Patent
[Lockergnome's Web Developers] You may have already heard or read about Google’s latest patent application regarding “information retrieval based on historical data”, but if you’re like me, you probably didn’t bother to read it all.
Some related posts from Technorati and Google.
[IPBiz] Google's US appl. 20050071741: I wasnt surprised about the stuff in the patent that corresponded with Googles aging delay and its “sandbox” as I had already seen a lot of discussion on this. For those who arent familiar with the aging delay and the sandbox, youll want to note that there is a lot of disagreement over what causes a site to be thrown in the sandbox.
[News.stepforth.com] The SEO Blog: Google United - Google Patent Examined: What it doesn't give is a 100% clear overview of how Google operates now and how the various ideas covered in the patent application will be integrated into Google's algorithms. That is not the only WebmasterWorld thread on this topic, there is also a thread that started on Feb 22, 2005 that discusses this "strange referral."
[Searchenginegenie.com] SEO BLOG: Toolbar Pagerank is Dead, Google's Page rank update no ...: Resulting consequences from normal toolbar users and my comments on it, I personally spread the word about pagerank display and google toolbar to more than 1000 people( all software people and software training institute guys ), Most of them were obsessed on it and started using just by my word, Almost 800 google toolbars were installed because of me, They were happy seeing the Pagerank of each other's sites and pagerank of other big sites, Now I told the same people pagerank display is no more a priority for google and they haven't updated it for more than 2 1.2 months, Now almost 500 google toolbar's were removed, Nobody were interested in other features since they are not SEOs or webmasters, They are just normal users they like to see the pagerank of different sites, Now without Pagerank updating they hate the toolbar sticking on their IE window, They seem to prefer Yahoo companion toolbar more now,
